Yassmin Abdel-Magied (she/her)

Yassmin is a writer, engineer and award-winning social advocate. She is also a young adult fiction writer; she recently published Listen, Layla, the sequel to You Must Be Layla. She spoke at the launch of our pilot programme in 2019, and will soon be a keynote speaker at our upcoming conference.

Francesca is the bestselling author, activist and co-creator of the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series. Francesca was our special guest at our spring 2022 celebration event.

Bolu Babalola (she/her)

Bolu is an author, scriptwriter, and journalist. Her debut novel Love in Colour (2020) is a Sunday Times Bestseller, which she spoke about during a recent World Book Day event for Be Her Lead students.

Samantha Moyo is an entrepreneur and change maker. She founded the global wellness movement Morning Gloryville, as well as for her art, performance work, activism, and much more. Sam delivers dynamic workshops for Be Her Lead girls about self-acceptance and fighting anxiety.

Laura is a Period Poverty Activist and was a pivotal force in the recent scrapping of the ‘Tampon Tax’. She is also the author of ‘Speak Up!’, a book for rebel girls. Laura was a keynote speaker at our 2019 Conference and recently ran a workshop on activism for Be Her Lead students.

Jags is a Radio 1 DJ and presenter, and the founder of the Future1000 initiative which aims to introduce female, trans and non-binary students into electronic music.

Daisy is Head of Network at Backed VC, a venture capital firm working with tech start-ups. She delivers talks for Be Her Lead students based on her own career journey.

Rosie is an artist, illustrator, and activist. She has worked in school settings as well as with refugee groups, and will soon begin her training to be an art therapist. Rosie has led workshops for Be Her Lead teachers for our virtual coffee series, demonstrating meditative art techniques to support wellbeing.

Victoria Stoyanova (she/her)

Victoria Stoyanova (she/her)

Victoria is a Community Architect; strategist by trade and connector at heart, her work is focused on connecting ideas, people and communities in new, generative ways.

This practice has led her to start Hito Labs - a studio exploring the potential of networks, communities and ecosystems when it comes to the future of product, culture, talent and innovation. Combining systems thinking and community strategy, she’s managed exciting interdisciplinary projects with clients such as IKEA, EY, Jaguar Land Rover, EDF, Adidas and more.

Victoria runs Be Her Lead workshops for girls helping them to think imaginatively about work and their futures.
